Cli.gs, one of the popular URL shortener service has decided to stop its service on the 25th of October. You won’t be able to shorten any new URL after this date and Cli.gs will also stop the analytic service as well. Cli.gs also announced that it will still continue to forward existing shortened URLs indefinitely (most likely at the end of November).
An export tool is in the makings which will make sure all existing users have a backup of all their shorten URL. The owner of Cli.gs is also willing to put the service up for sale, so anyone or any ventures want to gamble a couple hundred thousand dollars, go ahead and contact him.

Some of my friends always ask me what extensions I have installed on my installation of firefox that make its look so different and unique. So I thought hey why not make a post about it.
What makes me choose Firefox over all the other browser is that additional features can be easily installed. The robustness of Firefox is unbelievable, one click and you have the extension installed. Now all Firefox need is to install extensions without restarting after.
Anyways I’ll get on with it. All up I have 19 extensions installed, I will blog a few every couple days over the next week or so.
If your sick of all those advertisements that follows you around every where you visit, you might want to try out Adblock Plus. Adblock is a very power adblocker, with a subscription feature that is updates ad definition entries every couple weeks.
- Blog This in Window Live Writer (Only if you blog on a daily basis)
If own a blog and use Window Live Writer (WLW) to write all your articles, then this extension for Firefox is a must. It basically note down the page that you are currently on and open up WLW with the title and a link already generated. This makes reblogging easy.

Coming to a store near you is the first ever dual-screened display notebook. Spacebook is a innovative design from gScreen. It features a dual 15.4 inch that can be slide out for a extra screen.
This sure looks great, as it would definitely increase productivity on the go for many people. However I’m not too sure about the design as I tend to normally stay away from any electronic devices with sliding technology due to the tendency to break or have a bad connection.
Anyways to read more about it head over to mydigitallife.
