Yahoo Meme is one of the newest social networking platform this year. If you compare it to popular social networking platforms like Twitter or Tumblr you would probably get lost somewhere in between. Why? I’ll try and explain it below.

To keep it very simple. Yahoo Meme is a extended version of Twitter and a stripped down version of Tumblr.

Two major milestone today at Facebook today. The first is that Facebook has surpassed 300 million users again proving their dominance in social networking. The growth rate of Facebook is phenomenal as it only passed 250 million back in July.

The second big news today is that  Facebook has started seeing green on their cash flow chart, meaning from today onwards Facebook is making profit. Facebook has being spending big on developing new technology, their servers and upgrading their social platform. Originally they weren’t expected to go positive on their cash flow till early 2010, so obviously Facebook has being making more than they spent.

A couple days earlier Facebook launched a simpler, cleaner version of its popular social networking platform Facebook Lite. Facebook Lite strips out all the applications and usual facebook annoyance like poke, quizzes and chat. Thus improving the page loading speed of facebook.

The unveiling of Facebook Lite proves once again Facebook’s dominance in social networks. Personally, it made my Facebook experience much better as I don’t normally do quizzes and use much applications.
