That ain’t a Google Ice Cream stand in the video below. If your wondering, its Google’s newest way to extend the reach of Google Map Street View. By using a peddle bikes street view now can go where the street view car cannot.
Google Trike was first unveiled in the UK and due to its success Google has decided to bring the Trike to the U.S. You now can nominate where the Trike should go and take street view shots of interesting and unique places in the U.S. To nominate just head over to http://maps.google.com/trike.
I don’t know about you, but I feel a bit offended by watching this video of Google trying to teach everyone what a browsers is. Ok Ok jokes, I’ll be reasonable I guess Google has a point. Most of my friend don’t seems to have a clue, they think its just something where you search stuff with and some don’t even know the names they just click these familiar icons on the desktop.
Have a look at the video, it can be quiet educational depending on how geek you are, or not.
Neowin earlier today reported that the three most popular webmail service (GMail, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail!) has being targeted by malicious fraudsters in phishing scams.
Neowin initially revealed that over 20,000 email on Hotmail has been compromised, this includes MSN passport accounts as well. From Neowin’s article we can see a statement released by Microsoft:
"Over the weekend Microsoft learned that several thousand Windows Live Hotmail customer’s credentials were exposed on a third-party site due to a likely phishing scheme. Upon learning of the issue, we immediately requested that the credentials be removed and launched an investigation to determine the impact to customers. As part of that investigation, we determined that this was not a breach of internal Microsoft data and initiated our standard process of working to help customers regain control of their accounts."
However later today an update was released by Neowin stating that the phishing scams has crossed over to GMail (confirmed) and Yahoo Mail.
I call it “Not-so-New” GMail theme because the themes were actually released a month ago and I have not discovered it until earlier today. The new theme called “turf” was released along side “High Score”. I genuinely adore turf, the green texture and the transparencies is very relaxing for the eyes to look at. [...]
A Nielsen report this week claims that Bing is now the fastest growing search engine compared to all of its competitors. This is mainly due two reasons in my opinion:
Microsoft have allocated a large sum of money towards Bing’s advertising campaign.
Bing is the default search engine on Internet Explorer 8 and with more and [...]
Ever since Gmail was first launched to the general public back in Feburary, 2007, being able to choose multiple senders fast has always being missing from the webmail giant. Earlier today Google rolled out the Contact Chooser which pretty much push the “already awesome” Gmail to even greater heights.
The new feature bring Gmail on par [...]
Google today has made a much needed change to the way we manage our contacts in Gmail. Before today we need to go into gmail and go to the contact page, this link is buried in Gmail.
To use Google Contacts just type in the following link into the browser http://www.google.com/contacts, This feature however has not [...]
