Big news from twitter this week is that ReTweeting is in the works. Currently under development, the new feature will be available in a few weeks, possibly to the developers first then becoming available to the wider twitter population. This definitely is a good news as it will get rid of the old way of retweeting by adding “RT @[name]” in front of someone else’s twit.

The news of the new feature came just a few days after the DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks on Twitter earlier this week.

Retweet Mock-up from Official Twitter Blog

The picture above is a mock-up of what the new retweet feature would look like. It would be good to see if Twitter’s development team could come up with any other nifty ways to implement this, but so far I’m impressed just by looking at the mock-up picture.

  • It's a very important function that they're adding to the site. Twitter has exploded amongst the internet like wild fire. More than anyone would have suspected, but as long as they keep adding user friendly functionality to the site it will always continue to strive. Nice post.
